Dolly cardigan (Eng)

The Dolly cardigan is worked from the top down. Shoulders are shaped with short rows to create soft drape. Cuffs, collar and button bands are worked in DK weight yarn and the body in a boucle yarn, giving the sweater contrast.

80% alpaca, 15% wool, 5% polyamide/ 50 g 140 m.

For a longer cardigan or longer sleeves, you will need more yarn.

Recommended needles

6 mm/US 10 needles for the body.
5 mm/US 8 needles, or 1 mm smaller for the button band. 4.5 mm/ US 7 or 1.5 mm smaller for the collar.

Gauge
10 sts x 19 rows = 10 cm/4” in st st (blocked) holding 2 strands together on 6 mm/US 10 needles (or size needle to obtain gauge).
